COMING UP
Open House and First Service at El Dorado
As you may have heard, the move of our Sunday morning services to El Dorado High School (EDHS) was affirmed by 96.2% of the ballots received. We plan to hold our first service at EDHS on Sunday, March 15:
- Equipping Hour and Children’s Ministry at 9 a.m.
- Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. (Pre-K childcare will be available both hours)
We are hosting an informal Open House next Thursday, March 5, from 6–7 p.m. Many of our ministry teams will be on site to pray, plan and prepare for our first Sunday. The rest of the church family is warmly invited to stop by, see the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and pray with us while we are there.
Communion Sunday
This Sunday, we will be remembering Jesus’ death in our place by partaking of the Lord’s Supper. Please remember the Lord’s Supper is only for believers who are seeking to please Him.
Short-Term Missions
This summer, the Lord has opened two short-term mission opportunities for CBC: serving in the Czech Republic and at Kokrine Hills Bible Camp in Alaska. If you are interested in serving, you can find more information and apply here by this Sunday, March 1.
Sunday Evening Service
Join us tonight at 5pm! A light dinner (sandwiches) will be provided at 4:30pm.
Resurrection Sunday Outreach
Join us as we reach out to our community to share the gospel and invite them to our Resurrection Sunday service. We will meet on Saturday, March 28 and April 4, 1–3 p.m. at 112 E. Walnut Ave and go out to nearby neighborhoods (including near El Dorado HS), shopping areas and schools. Contact Joon Yim with any questions. Sign up here!
Nursing Home Visit
Come join us on Saturday, March 21, from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. as we spend time with the residents of Gordon Lane Care Center in Fullerton. We will be singing songs, completing family-friendly activities (the residents love kids!) and sharing the love of Christ, along with a devotional. For more information, please contact Jeff Liao).
The Missions Learning Group
The group will meet monthly to read and discuss through the book, Missions: Principles, Priorities, Practices, as we learn about the foundations and the fundamentals of the missionary work of the church. The book will be provided by church. Our first meeting will be on March 1 at 12:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. All are welcome!
Women of the Word Please join us on March 14 at 9 a.m., as we continue our study on how to put off anxiety and worry. Ladies 12 years of age and up and their guests are welcome for a time of teaching, small group discussion and prayer. Light refreshments will be provided.
WEEKLY at CBC
Sunday Morning Prayer. Sundays, 8:00–8:20 a.m.
All are welcome before service in the Upper Room for a time of corporate prayer!
