Chinese Christian Awakening Ministry

CBC has invited the Chinese Christian Awakening Ministry (CCAM) to give a presentation to our church on November 9 after second service (refreshments provided). Specifically, CCAM partners with individuals and churches to:

  • Translate pastors’ sermons, books and spiritual resources into Chinese
  • Publish and distribute them to churches in China for free
  • Build a website where people can read the spiritual resources they translate for free

They have already translated Pastor Joshua’s The Best Story Ever and have distributed it to various churches and pastors in China. They have also translated Life in the Father's House by Wayne Mack and Dave Swavely. For more information, visit their website here. Please don't miss this opportunity to be encouraged by this ministry and learn a little more about how God is at work in China!

Communion This Sunday we will remember Jesus’ death in our place by partaking of the Lord’s Supper. Please remember that the Lord’s Supper is only for believers who are seeking to please Him.

Sunday Evening Service
Please join us this Sunday at 6 p.m. for a devotional and time of corporate prayer. A light dinner will be provided at 5 p.m.

Women of the Word
Please join us on November 8 at 9 a.m. as we continue our study on how to put off anxiety and worry. Ladies 12 years of age and up and their guests are welcome for a time of teaching, small group discussion and prayer. Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP here.

Daylight Saving Time Ends
Just a reminder, daylight saving time ends this Sunday! Remember to set your clocks back one hour.

Membership Class
God has chosen to proclaim the gospel through the church! And becoming a member is essential to becoming a part of the local church. Learn more about our church or becoming a member by attending our 7-week membership course. The next class will start this Sunday during first service in the Wood Floor Room. If interested, please contact Joon Yim.

Dear Church Family,

Thank you so much for your prayers and kind support for me and my family during the decline in my dad's health. He "graduated" home to heaven last Friday. The Lord has been exceedingly gracious to answer many prayers—and so much more—throughout this season. We truly have a good and loving God!

If you wouldn't mind praying for continued gospel opportunities among extended family and friends, that would be greatly appreciated. His memorial service is a week from Saturday. Please contact Susan, if you would like more information.

Thank you once again!

In the Love and Hope of Christ,
-huey
