Worship Service - August 8, 2021

Greetings, Brothers and Sisters!

This Sunday is all about talking to God.

On Sunday morning, I’ll be preaching from Psalm 86. In this psalm, David models for us how to talk to God in our distress. David proclaims God’s heart for us so that we will pray to Him. But David is also attentive to how our hearts ought to be when we come to Him. Psalm 86 is the perfect psalm for when we are persevering through ongoing struggles.

(Younger kids can listen for the word distress. Older kids can either fill in the blanks in the outline in the bulletin - as well as jot down any additional thoughts - or write down their own outline from the slides.)

We also have the privilege of praying together on Sunday night at our monthly prayer meeting. If you can come, please spend some time with the prayer guide that Joshua has prepared: Prayer Guide. Spending some time thinking through the guide will prime your hearts for the joy and dependency of prayer.

Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday!

In Christ,

Isaiah
